PIOTR SZEWCZYK
Piotr Szewczyk (born 1974 in Jelenia Gora/PL), architect, designer and multimedia artist. In recent years, basing on his own methodology of documentation of historic interiors and his self-made software, he has refined the mechanism that can be used among other things in artistic actions. It joins the elements of purely scientific of architectural interiors, features of multimedia presentations, computer games and educational programmes. This author mechanism is applied in the project belonging to the borderland of net-art and the so-called Virtualworld - it is a continuously growing complicated labyrinth, consisting of existing and non-existing places, allowing the viewer to make virtual walks and non-virtual rests. The recent joined works of Malgorzata Jablonska and Piotr Szewczyk are: the virtual gallery project "Space is the Place, man!" and the installation "Lookaround, man! inside.1/outside". The "Lookaround" cycle is in progress.
